The process of manufacturing PPGI involves multiple steps. PPGI commonly uses a hot-dip zinc-coated steel (GI) as a substrate. Then the GI sheet in coil form is cleaned, pre-treated, and painted with layers of organic coatings, such as PE, SMP, HDP, PVDF, etc. The painting process is continuous, which is known as coil coating process. That's why PPGI steel consists of several layers, namely base metal, zinc coating, pre-treatment (chemical conversion coating), primer coating, and top/back coating. After uncoiling, leveling and fixing, the pre-coated galvanized steel coil is cut into flat PPGI sheets of required length and width, and then processed into various styles of PPGI and PPGL top sheets by roller presses, such as corrugated steel sheets, corrugated sheets Tile, Roman long brick profiles, etc.

The galvanized steel coil price mainly depends on the zinc coating thickness. The thicker the zinc layer, the higher the price and the better the corrosion resistance. The galvanized steel used in PPGI has a thinner zinc coating. Also, the PPGI coil price will be different from the painting you choose, as well as the paint thickness.
